Molecular structure differences
Generally speaking, the molecular structure of hydrolyzed collagen is destroyed while the undenatured type ii collagen keeps in a triple helix molecular structure. Hydrolyzed collagen is the collagen peptides consisted of short chains of amino acids. The three long chains of amino acids are cut into short amino acid chains. But the molecular structure of undenatured collagen type ii is original triple helix structure, the three long chais of amino acids are not broken.
Function differences
The function of Hydrolyzed collagen mainly comes from amino acids nutrition values. The hydrolyzed collagen contains Hydroxyproline and glycine. Hydroxyproline works as a transportation tool to carry the calcium and phosphorus into cells of bones to form the bones.
